Founded just three years ago and employing 15 people, the Finnish company Mallow is doing big things.
Specialization in cloud migration is the highest recognition in Microsoft’s partner program, and it is rare for a company of Mallow’s size to receive it, as typical Microsoft Azure Specialization company is quite large at size.
“A strict focus on one cloud technology has sharpened us into the sharpest point of a narrow spear, whose expertise in this area is top-class,” says Mallow’s CTO, Teemu Tapanila.
According to Tapanila, the company’s success is built on simple things.
“We have amazing clients and truly skilled employees,” Tapanila praises.
A Proven Competent Partner
Mallow specializes in producing solutions based on Microsoft’s Azure platform, designing cloud environments, executing transitions, managing entire systems, and further developing them.
The company has been part of Microsoft’s partner program almost since its inception. The multi-tiered program includes various areas of specialization.
The recently completed Microsoft Azure specialization requires, among other things, that the partner company employs a certain number of people with proven competence. Individual expertise is verified through Microsoft certifications.
“Many of our employees are certified in several Azure areas. Our team of 15 collectively holds over a hundred of these certifications,” says Mallow’s CEO Jaakko Karhumaa.
Strict Auditing Process
Microsoft ensures the quality of the work and processes by auditing real customer projects, going through every step, including documentation, line by line.
“The recognition now granted to us means that we are a proven competent partner that operates according to Microsoft’s best practices,” Karhumaa summarizes.
Microsoft’s partner audit is a demanding process that requires such high-level competence that even larger companies than Mallow may not always have it.
“The fact that we, as a young company, have reached this partnership level is a fantastic achievement and shows the strong expertise we offer to our clients.”
Mallow is a subsidiary of Reaktor and operates as part of its Fusion network, which consists of growth companies.
